Dave: "I've been playing this song in my live show for a long time. It's a very personal song for me, but other people have taken to it in a very personal way, so it's not really just mine anymore. It never seems to get old, because there's always a war going on somewhere, and there will always be losses. People remark on how serious or sad the song is, but I don't see it that way at all. I did lose one of my parents to cancer and I almost lost one of my brothers to it, but the song isn't about loss. It's about appreciating that you're still here; it's about reminding yourself that there's still time to do some good things with your life.
