It's been held for over 74 years in Port Huron, and it's been called the "Super Bowl" of sporting events. It's the Port Huron to Mackinac Boat Race, and it's an International, one-of-a-kind waterfront spectacle. Over 300 boats race from Port Huron to Mackinac. Detroit's classic rock native son, Bob Seger, won the boat race on at least two occasions. Each year, on the night before the race, they celebrate what is known as "boat night," when everyone walks along the Black River admiring all of the boats. For several years, Dave performed concerts by the water, often joined by his brother Rob. Dave says, "It's basically a rockin' outdoor party in Port Huron, with a riverside view of beautiful people & sailboats, along with good music, food and drinks." |
